Isaiah Rashad Teases A New Project Coming Soon
Isaiah Rashad says he submitted a project to TDE.
Isaiah Rashad has been quiet since joining the Top Dawg family in 2013. Though there have been whispers of a collab with Ab-Soul, he's only released one project via TDE, Cilvia Demo EP in February 2014. But it appears that we'll be hearing more from him soon.
Sunday evening, he tweeted out rather casually that he'd just submitted a project to TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith. "Just turned in this project to [Anthony Tiffith]," he wrote. "Look like we might be jammin out in a minute huh..."
Hopefully Tiffith approves the project ASAP. IF you're looking for other Tennessee rappers to tide you over in the mean time, check out Tim Gent's Clarksville Nights, one of the most underrated mixtapes of the year.
Chance The Rapper Critiques Miley Cyrus' Hosting Duties At MTV VMAs
Chance The Rapper wasn't a fan of Miley Cyrus' hosting job at the 2015 MTV VMAs last night.
Miley Cyrus was the host of last night's MTV VMAs. In brief summation, she rocked outrageous and unabashedly ugly outfits, wore fake dreads, promoted her ~super cool~ love of marijuana, dissed Nicki Minaj's issues with the VMAs and participated in several corny skits. A lot of people weren't feeling it, and Chance The Rapper was one of them.
We were live tweeting during the VMAs last night, and Chance did the same, however he was definitely a tad more critical, and rightly so. In several tweets, Chance pointed out some of the faults with Miley's hosting, whether it was her commentary or her outfit.
What were your thoughts on the event, or Miley Cyrus' hosting in general? Sound off in the comments.

Police Sketch Bears Strange Resemblance To T.I., According To Twitter
Twitter users found a police sketch released yesterday looked an awful lot like T.I.
Yesterday, Fox 5 Atlanta reported on an attempted abduction in Atlanta, sharing a police sketch of the man in question. The picture drew a fair amount of attention on Twitter, unfortunately not to bring awareness to a dangerous threat in the neighborhood, but instead the drawing's strange resemblance to rapper T.I.
The image was passed around on social media, with users commenting on the coincidental look-a-like. While it's not really a subject to joke about, it's easy to see the comparison. Just to be clear, it goes without saying that T.I. didn't actually have anything to do with the incident.
Take a look at the tweets from users below. Do you see any resemblance between the sketch and the ATL rapper?
Meanwhile, T.I. is said to be working on his 10th studio album, which -- last we heard -- is set to be titled, The Dime Trap.

Jay Z Caved And Got An Instagram Account
Give the homie @hovsince96 a follow.
Jay Z finally caved and got an Instagram account, opting for the handle @hovsince96. He dedicated his inaugural post with a tribute to Michael Jackson, who would have turned 57 years old today. The picture depicts a younger Jay Z rocking a Latrell Sprewell jersey and posing with the late singer. “Happy Birthday to the King! This may be my first and last post," he wrote.
Jay Z isn't much of a Twitter guy either, except for that time when he rattled off an extensive Twitter defense of Tidal.
As of press time, it's been three hours since Jay Z's post and he's already racked up 70,000 Instagram followers.

Fetty Wap Scoffs At Rumors He Was Jumped In DC
Fetty Wap had an amazing response to reports he had been robbed at a club last night.
This morning, MediaTakeOut reported that Fetty Wap had been jumped and robbed at Stadium nightclub in DC, suggesting Fetty had his chain taken and some of his dreads ripped out (as you likely know, they're not real).
It didn't take long for the rapper, who currently has FOUR singles on the Hot 100, to respond, calling MTO out for what he claimed were false reports.
It didn't take long for the rapper, who currently has FOUR singles on the Hot 100, to respond, calling MTO out for what he claimed were false reports.
"I just heard that somebody pulled my fucking hair out and I got robbed," he said in a video posted to Instagram, pointing towards his untouched dreads and a pile of racks by his side. "Bitch, where? Let me know. Let me know. Tell me. Please."
His caption for the clip was also pretty straight forward -- "@mediatakeoutsuck my dick 💯😂🙌"

Fetty is currently on Chris Brown's One Hell Of A Nite tour, but with his growing catalog of hits, it shouldn't be long before he's got one of his own.
Kanye West Brings Out Rihanna At FYF Fest
Rihanna performed "All Of The Lights" and "Four, Five Seconds" with Kanye West at last night's FYF Fest.
Frank Ocean's cancellation of his headlining FYF Fest performance is just one of the ways he's disappointed fans recently (where's the album?), but luckily, the proven showman Kanye West stepped in for Ocean, and made sure to make up for his absence with a special surprise for the crowd --Rihanna.
RiRi made two appearances during Ye's set, first for their monster-hit, "All Of The Lights," and later for an intimate performance of "Four, Five, Seconds," where the singer got right up in the faces of the audience.
Overall, we're sure even the biggest Frank Ocean stans left satisfied.
French Montana Enters Fray In 50 Cent Vs. Diddy Vodka War
French and 50 Cent go at it on Instagram.
Followers of 50 Cent and Diddy on Instagram know that they are currently embroiled in a bitter vodka war, with 50's Effen vodka dueling it out against Diddy's Ciroc. Recently things have escalated, with 50 using the hashtag #nopuffyjuice to encourage his fans to boycott Ciroc.
Now French Montana has entered the fray and aligned himself firmly in the camp of Puff "Ciroc Obama" Daddy.
It all started when DJ Spinking posted a video of French making some sarcastic remarks regarding Effen. “Shout out to Effen vodka," he said. "That shit kind of watered down, but I love it.” Six hours later, 50 reposted the video and implied that that French's IG stunt was the brainchild of Diddy, French's boss at Bad Boy Records.
This seemed to strike a nerve with French, who doubled down by posting a video of him dumping a box of unopened Effen bottles in the garbage, proclaiming, "This what I feel about your bullshit."

Kid Cudi Cosigns Travi$ Scott's "Rodeo"
Kid Cudi throws his full support behind Travi$ Scott.
Travi$ Scott has been a huge supporter of Kid Cudi over the years, and with Rodeo just days away, Cudi thought it was about time to repay him by giving the album a big-time plug on Twitter.
"Theres only one young man within the industry whos been a loyal dedicated fan & supporter of mine since day 1, its time we support him too," he wrote.
In a 2013 interview, Scott described himself as a Cudi's "number one fan" and said he sees Cudi as a "big brother." He got pretty emotional today after reading big bro's supportive words. "I LEGIT JUST CRIEEEEEDDDDDDDD," he tweeted.

Straight Outta Compton Will Top The Box Office For A Second Week
Straight Outta Compton continues to perform well at the box office.
Not only will Compton claim the top spot for two consecutive weeks, but it is also set to break the $100 million mark today (August 22nd).
While it has garnered its share of praise, the film has not been without its criticism. Earlier this week, Dee Barnes penned an open letter addressing the film's exclusion of her 1991 assault at the hands of Dr. Dre. Dre has since issued an apology, but the movie's director, F. Gary Gray, has yet to comment.
